Chat Folders for Claude

This independent browser extension helps you organize conversations on claude.ai into folders. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Anthropic.
Conversation and folder data
The extension reads conversation titles, conversation IDs, update dates and workspace IDs from your signed-in Claude website. It reads the existing workspace selection and uses your existing browser session for read-only requests to Claude. It does not copy your session credentials, request an API key, or read conversation message bodies.
Folder names, membership, order, collapsed state and the conversation directory are stored in the extension's local browser storage, separated by Claude workspace. These data are not sent to the developer, ShipLang, a payment processor or another device. Moving, renaming or removing an extension folder does not delete or rename your original Claude conversations. The extension does not use Chrome Sync.
Optional sign-in and subscriptions
You can use the free folder allowance without signing in to ShipLang. When you choose to upgrade or restore a purchase, the extension opens a ShipLang login or checkout window. ShipLang receives the product ID, extension ID, extension version, browser language and, if already available, your ShipLang user ID and locally saved membership expiration time. These details identify the product and synchronize access.
Google sign-in may provide ShipLang with your email address and profile information, including an avatar. The extension locally saves only your user ID, email address, product ID and membership expiration time. ShipLang maintains account and membership information and operational login/checkout records needed to deliver the service. The extension does not embed advertising or third-party analytics scripts.
If you start an upgrade while creating a folder, the proposed name and workspace are saved locally so the extension can finish that action after membership activation. The pending action expires after 30 minutes and is cleared on checkout cancellation or when it is processed. It is never sent to the payment service.
After sign-in, the extension registers an uninstall feedback URL with Chrome containing your ShipLang user ID, browser language and extension version. Chrome may open this ShipLang page when you uninstall.
Payment services
Subscription prices, access periods and renewal terms are displayed at checkout. Payment information is entered on the payment provider's hosted page, not in the extension. The extension does not receive or store payment-card numbers. ShipLang may route checkout through Stripe or PayPro Global, as identified on the payment page.
Permissions
storage saves local folders, conversation-directory metadata, membership status and pending actions. Access to https://claude.ai/* is used to read your conversation directory, display folders in the sidebar and communicate with your Claude tabs. The extension requests no access to unrelated websites and includes all executable extension code in its installed package. Opening a hosted login or checkout page does not load that page's code into the extension.
Retention and deletion
Local data remain in this browser until removed or the extension is uninstalled. Deleting a folder removes that grouping while preserving the local conversation directory. Uninstalling the extension removes its local storage; it does not delete your Claude account or conversations. It also does not cancel a subscription: use the payment provider's subscription-management instructions or contact support.
ShipLang retains login and membership data until you request deletion and states that it keeps no backup after deletion. To request deletion of ShipLang data, contact support@shiplang.com, include this extension's name or store link, and describe your request. ShipLang's stated handling period is seven days. Google and payment providers manage their own records under their respective privacy policies and retention requirements.
Use and protection of data
Data are used only to provide conversation organization, account access, billing and support. The developer does not sell conversation or account data, use it for advertising, or use it for creditworthiness or lending decisions. Data use and transfer follow the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Local data are protected by your browser profile and device access controls; service connections use HTTPS.
The developer and ShipLang are independent collaborators. ShipLang supplies development, sign-in and payment infrastructure; this extension does not represent ShipLang.
